Poetry Prompt Collection 3 || Past, present and the future

This weeks poems

  • the cards were my first set

and a gift from my aunt.

    but they’re jinxed

    and avodah zara

    we are obligated

    to burn them.

    but their only use

    is as vocabulary prompts

    & abstract recombination

    for poetic construction

    & painting composition.

    but they’re jinxed

    and avodah zara

    we are obligated

    to burn them.

    why are you resisting?

    when i go, bury me

    with my possessions,

    or else i’ll dybbuk

    the arsonist;

    tired of ash

    & smoke.
