Vibe Union is launching a new video series, and we want you there for the recording of it.

What does Melbourne sound like? We know, but let's make sure the world does.

Featuring: Tumi the Be, JAG, Hui., Georgia Delaney Martin & Kudos.

Five acts perform for you while Vibe Union captures it on film and audio for the world to see. And then to celebrate, Tandem Reserve will play house music & disco through the night.

Tumi the Be -

Poet and rapper Tumi The Be pairs lyricism with old and new school beats, to tell the stories of a Motswana living in Melbourne. Tumi makes music to rouse the spirit and delight the soul. Acknowledging the fight of those that came before him, Tumi recognises the privilege that comes with freedom of speech, so uses this to his advantage to bring something refreshing yet thoughtful to the Australian rap scene. His sound is one steeped in rich musical, spiritual and poetic tradition reminiscent of the likes of Gil Scot Heron, Andre 3000 and Kendrick Lamar.

JAG -

Howlin’ the blues with a rock n roll attitude, Jag is a raw musician from Melbourne.

She fearlessly engages with audiences, putting on performances of pure emotion. Writing songs of freedom, growth, and individuality, Jag shows that she’s more than just a performer.

Jag is a Rock n’ Soul, Hard Blues Funk artist.

Her raspy style is influenced by the likes of Tina Turner, Hendrix, and shock-rock legend Screamin’ Jay Hawkins.

She released her debut track SATISFIED in December 2021.

Hui. -

A genuine soul on and off the stage, Hui’s stories go straight to the heart. With an extensive background on multiple instruments, and an open view of the world, Hui dives deep into love, loss, isolation, and self-growth. We were graced with his presence on one of our lockdown livestreams, and we are so excited to have him in person with us to weave his magic.

Kudos -

is a rapper, he's quite fond of rapping, in fact he told me that personally while I was writing this very bio. Am I Kudos talking about myself in the third person? Well that's neither here nor there. What is important to tell you is this! Kudos has been rapping for 20 years, he's put out multiple projects, performed in front of many people and at one point even to his own disbelief did a Ted Talk. One time he froze in front of 5,000 people on the mainstage of a festival I've been told not to mention and even though no one but him noticed this snafu, he swore from that day forth that he would never walk onto stage again without being fully prepared to not shit the bed. As a final note to whoever may be reading this; Come to a Kudos show, he's very friendly and I hear puts on a half decent performance. Big love. Kudos' ghost writer Frederick.

Georgia Delaney Martin -

She has feelings and is not afraid to share them!! Georgia's lyrics delves honestly into love, loss and hope and relishes the tightrope that comes with combining power and vulnerability in her performance. Captivating, questioning of society with a bit of silliness - you’ve got yourself a Georgia Delaney Martin set!

Tandem Reserve -

DJ trio, Tandem Reserve, host a weekly set of house, disco & techno rhythm from 9pm. Let them guide you, move your feet & allow you to escape for a night. The trio explores evolving and beautiful patterns on the decks in tandem. Bouncing off one another's energy, responding to each selection, escorting you together.

This event is BYO. We're just hanging out together in a warehouse with all our favorite musicians, MCs & DJs. Our community is welcoming & relaxed so please come with the intention of continuing that vibe.

This event will take place on the stolen lands of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation. Sovereignty was never ceded. We extend our respects to Indigenous elders past, present, and emerging. Part of your ticket sales will go to the Pay The Rent foundation to support Indigneous communities around Victoria.
