The Dusty Sessions: Folk & Singer-Songwriter Showcase

  • Bar 303 303 High Street Northcote, VIC, 3070 Australia (map)

Dusty Sessions is all about bringing blues, folk and soul music together for an intimate evening of self-expression.

Welcome to Dusty Sessions Volume 6!

We are extremely excited to be back at Bar 303 in Northcote, on our favorite fairy-light strewn stage, with another stellar line-up of Melbourne talent. Dusty Sessions is all about bringing blues, folk and soul music together for an intimate evening of self-expression.

We acknowledge that this event will be taking place on stolen land, and pay respects to the traditional custodians; the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nation. Sovereignty was never ceded, and we still have a long way to go to make equality our reality. Part of every ticket sold to this event will be donated to the Pay The Rent organisation in Victoria, that runs community projects and offers aid to first nations people.

Brude

Not one to shy away from a metaphor, as a songwriter BRŪDE takes us on a personal journey through his poetic storytelling. Infectious melody lines and a memorable blend of soul - funk - pop draws comparisons to some of his current influences

Allen Stone and Daniel Caesar.

BRŪDE is currently working on his debut EP

due for release later this year.

Kelsey Jean

This folk singer/songwriter rides the line between fantasy and reality - veering mostly into her own imagination to bring her ethereal, haunting and moody songs to life. The perfect music to walk through a misty forest or an empty beach, this music will make you feel at home.

Stav

Not as quiet as you would think, mesmerising Israeli-Australian folk-pop artist STAV. blurs the lines between singing and spoken word in a mostly Australian accent and unschooled Hebrew. Introspective and playful, her persuasive melodies explore migration, her identity across generations and womanhood. Folk Alliance Australia 'Young Artist of the Year' 2018
